LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes
LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes (LA Plaza) is a museum and cultural center that centers the history of Latinos in Los Angeles through transformative exhibitions, events, and multigenerational experiences celebrating Latinx culture. Emerging from the tumult of the pandemic, LA Plaza was faced with existential questions around their mission, vision, purpose, and identity that would help them determine what their next evolution would be.
Read the case study to discover how Star Insights helped LA Plaza craft not a strategic plan, but a Strategic Framework, that provides the team with essential clarity and acts as a foundation for the future.
Committee for Greater LA
The Committee for Greater LA was founded at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to produce a report that exposed the inequality present in Los Angeles prior to the pandemic, with the goal of providing a framework for equitable recovery.
Facing technical challenges, scope changes, and nationwide anti-racism demonstrations, the Committee called on Star Insights to help them overcome these challenges, facilitate discussion, and keep them on track.
City of Los Angeles Department of Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department (LA Civil Rights)
The Los Angeles Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department (LA Civil Rights) has an ambitious assignment: to reduce bias and injustice while leveling the playing field for the citizens of Los Angeles. As a new department in a change-prone environment, they needed a strategic framework that would help them not only hit their targets, but also clearly present what the department was about and what their strategic priorities are.
Read the case study to see how Star Insights helped deliver a strategic framework that could serve the department through any change, while helping them balance their priorities and hit their targets.
Heart of Los Angeles
For over 30 years, Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) has been providing high-quality after-school programs to children in Los Angeles. With decades of experience and lessons learned, HOLA was looking for the best way to expand their impact, and influence policy to reduce the ever-widening equity gaps that leave young people without access to programs like theirs.
Read the case study to discover how Star Insights helped HOLA create organization-wide mission alignment that has “blown away” their partners and dramatically increased their efficiency by setting out a clear path towards their goals.
Tournament of Roses
After 135 years, Pasadena Tournament of Roses is still dedicated to celebrating new beginnings and creating joy through their annual New Year’s Celebrations: the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game. However, the world has changed – especially in the last few years. With a volunteer membership of over 900 people and a history steeped in tradition, the Tournament needed a strategic plan that could carry them into the future while preserving the most important parts of their identity.
Read the case study to see how Star Insights helped the Tournament of Roses balance tradition with change, preserving who they are while listening to their hundreds of stakeholders and co-creating a future their community is eager to be a part of.
Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce
With the 2028 Olympics on the horizon and their existing strategic plan coming to an end, the LA Chamber of Commerce needed a new strategic plan and, in addition, was also facing a crossroads as an organization. They brought on Maria Salinas as CEO to help change how the chamber operated, so that it could stay relevant and keep serving its communities.
Read the Case Study to see how Star Insights worked with the team to build trust and develop a strategic plan that included a new vision and strategic priorities that could carry the Chamber 10+ years into the future.
